Closest airport is Montrose Regional Airport
You can travel Highway 550 in both directions. If traveling from Durango / Silverton be sure to pay attention to the weather and potential closures. Note, if the Million Dollar Highway (Red Mountain Pass) is closed, you can still drive Lizard Head pass to get to Ouray.
