Parking in Ouray

Parking in Ouray is convenient but limited—plan ahead, especially on summer weekends and during festivals. Street parking is available throughout town; free parking is allowed on the main streets and down the side avenues. There are several public lots near Main Street and the Visitor Center for easier access to shops, restaurants, and trailheads. Oversized vehicles and RVs have designated parking areas—check posted restrictions before leaving your vehicle. Be respectful of residential driveways, do not block sidewalks, and obey winter parking bans during snow events and plowing. For a smoother visit, arrive early for peak attractions and use alternative transport when possible to do Ouray right. Check out our city maps for activity-related parking.
